History

Owner, Billy LoRusso learned about mechanics in his early years by observing and helping the mechanics at his father’s business. In a corner of the shop, at the age of 14, Billy began a frame off restoration of a 1967 Jeep. He quickly learned that he had an aptitude for fixing vehicles. He began working in an empty warehouse on Thomaston Avenue fixing other people’s vehicles while attending college. He did both general repairs and collision work. After graduating with a degree in Small Business Management, he decided to make having his own garage his career. Starting with just one toolbox and his trusty dog Charlie, he built his business bit by bit, improving the warehouse into the garage it is today, adding equipment and additional tools, and completing ASE certification courses. Around 1999, he began adding staff, and in 2010 he began focusing his work on medium and heavy duty truck repair and maintenance, gaining several ASE certifications in this area. This past year, the garage was expanded and a medium duty to three axle heavy duty alignment machine was installed. Charlie’s Garage LLC now employs a staff of 3 mechanics, in addition to Billy, and has several national accounts.
